My Background β My Journey
Β
I was born and raised in Agoro, where I learned resilience, hard work, and the value of community. My life has taken me from a humble background to becoming a trained Community Counselor and Psychologist, serving youths, families, and vulnerable people in our region.
I have worked in community programs, supported childrenβs education, handled issues like substance abuse, mental health, and land conflict, and stood with people in their struggles. These experiences shaped me into a leader who listens, understands, and acts.
My journey is simple: Agoro raised me, and now I am ready to give back through honest, people-centred leadership.
Vision for 2026-2031
The candidate's five-year vision
The 2026β2031 term is important to me because it represents a turning point for our community and a personal commitment I am ready to fulfill. This is not just another political cycleβthis is a chance for us to correct what has been neglected, strengthen what has been started, and build a future where every child, youth, woman, and elder in Agoro can feel the impact of true leadership.
Β
This term matters to me because:
1. I want to bring people-centred leadership back to the community.
For years, many of our urgent issuesβeducation, land conflicts, youth unemployment, alcohol and drug abuseβhave not been given the attention they deserve. This term gives me the opportunity to put peopleβs needs first and ensure that leadership listens and responds.
2. We must restore the education standards of Agoro.
Our subcounty has gone years without a single first grade. This term gives me the chance to work directly with parents, teachers, school management committees, and community stakeholders to rebuild the foundation for our children.
3. We cannot lose another generation to substance abuse.
As a counseling psychologist, I have the skills and passion to lead community-based programs that will save our youth and give them a purpose through education, sports, mentorship, and economic empowerment.
4. Land conflicts must be reduced through dialogue, mediation, and awareness.
Peace in families and clans is the backbone of development. This term is my chance to strengthen unity and reduce conflicts that have kept us backward for years.
5. I want to create a more united, active, and empowered Agoro.
We are a strong people, but we need a leader who can mobilize us, unite us, and make us believe in what we can achieve together. This term gives me that chance.
6. This is the time for accountable and transparent leadership.
The people of Agoro deserve a leader who reports back, stays on the ground, and works hand in hand with themβnot only during campaigns but every day of the five years.
Β
The 2026β2031 term is important to me because it is my commitment to serve, to uplift, and to lead with integrity. It is my time to give back to the community that raised me, guided me, and shaped me. I believe in Agoro, and I believe this term can change our story.
A Message from Kilama Peterson
Direct message to voters
My dear people of Agoro,
I come to you with a sincere heart and a clear purpose. I am asking for your trustβnot because I am perfect, but because I am committed, dependable, and ready to serve with honesty and courage. I was born and raised among you, and I understand the challenges our families, youths, women, farmers, and elders face every single day.
Β
I am seeking your vote because I believe leadership must be people-centredβlistening to you, working with you, and standing with you in the struggles that matter: improving education, fighting teenage pregnancy, addressing alcohol and substance abuse, reducing land conflicts, supporting our youth talents, and strengthening our community systems.
Β
I am a Community Counselor by profession, and my work has always been about helping people, solving problems, and giving hope. I bring a leadership style grounded in empathy, integrity, and action. I do not promise what I cannot deliver; instead, I promise to walk with you, work with you, and fight for what truly belongs to Agoro.
Β
Trust me because I will represent you, not myself.
Trust me because I will listen.

Β

Your trust is my strength.
Together, we can transform our community.
